These are going to Pirate's great niece and partner... beginning gardeners!
Leeks needing to come out.....
And onions just in (garlic at the end of the bed)
Top left tomatoes, peppers in front of that, aubergines by the peppers
Salad!!!
And rather reluctant peas
I've been photographing the family heirlooms and history that go to Pirate's nephew this weekend. Then I can email the images to anyone in the family who needs them...and I hope to be photographing more photos, to do the same..then if the originals, whoever has them, get lost or destroyed, everyone will still have a copy.
More photography tomorrow, and possibly some garden tidying!

...it's sunny today, but too cool to plant yet!
All coming along nicely.
You've been busy! I'm sure the beginning gardeners will appreciate those starter tools!
Your garden is looking good. Having extra plants to share with the new gardeners is always great.
Growing vegetables is a lot of work but the produce is well worth it.
It’s great your passing everything on.
They will have sentimental value I’m sure.
Plus your keeping everything out of the rubbish pile.
Lots of new babies. Hopefully they will take off once they’re planted for you
Passing stuff on keeps memories alive.
I need to use the leeks up and make more growing space.
Yay for gardens! I am far behind on mine this year, but not too worried about it as we are cutting back quite a bit this year. My leeks are quite large now. Do you have a way to preserve them? I tried drying one year but wasn't happy with the result.
My sister and I scanned the family photos and made copies for all of my nieces and nephews. We divvied up the originals between them all and gave them a copy of the disk, a rooting from my great grandmother's Christmas cactus, and a Christmas ornament from their tree. I hope that it means something to all of them.
