A busy Saturday, printing cards, then starting to handwrite the backs.
I quite like the results.
As the 6" square ones worked, I made some 4" ones as well for the smaller craft shop..and ordered more 4" cards online as the shop's branches are either too far away or slightly nearer and difficult to get to.
We have started getting some rain at last. Not much so far, but it has helped to damp down the fires and assist the fire service in their job.
It has returned to colder temperatures too, so back to jeans from long shorts.
I was feeling rather empty and lonely on Sunday morning, but a "chat" on messenger with a friend and half an hour on the turbo trainer helped that.
We do "chat" at least every couple of days and often briefly every day. Both in the same boat really!
Then after getting the vacuum cleaner out and having a bit of a tidy I cut a new print block...but forgot to reverse the image!
Bother!!
I quite like it..so a chance to do it again...but better next time.
After that it was an early supper and an evening spent with YouTube, watching the progress of a friend who has moved back from France and to Arran (Lorraine Turnbull) and archaeology with Time Team...and making more progress on sewing Our Shirts patchwork.
All resulting in a decent night's sleep for once!

I love your cards. Very neat handwriting!
I hope you are feeling more chipper today x
...busy is good.
Those cards look great! And so does your new print block too.
Dear GZ,
I am thinking of you near the first anniversary of Pirate/Vic’s death.
So much love, so much loss….
Grief.
You live on, creating and sharing beauty, moving, and even finding new paths…
A warm hug,
Xo Fresca
PS. I wrote” near the anniversary “— double checked and it is “on” the actual day, today.
His memory is a blessing.
❤️❤️❤️
Grief is a very strange country filled with hills and valleys.
Good that you are getting some sleep.
Maybe you can use both blocks somehow -- one a mirror image of the other!
Card making is very clever, I'm sure people appreciate receiving them.
The 'firsts' are so very hard. I am sorry. That owl is very nice. It reminds me of Minerva's Shrine in Chester. After all these centuries, you can still make out the owl and the faint outline of Minerva.
I'm thinking of you. It is hard to believe that an entire year has passed. April 15 and Vic's passing will always be remembered as will he and all the joys you shared together.
Your new blocks are lovely and the printing that you've added looks great. Will all the cards go to the gallery shop?
It certainly is
The six inch square cards will, tomorrow
Yes..still that little emptiness, but much better
Your cards are just wonderful. I love the owl. And it's especially attractive how you did your credit info on the back. So many hugs on the anniversary. They say they do get easier. I suppose that's true, but it takes rather awhile. As the adage goes, you never get over it, but you get through it. I hope your art provides some solace. I'm pretty sure Pirate would be smiling at your beautiful work.
