Ok day... eventually

Today I discovered that seven year old lino blocks don't really work...they go stiff.

So I carved a new version....

It my be the time to change to woodblock, at least for the smaller prints.

I've a couple of ideas for new small prints..and its no big deal to recarve the older blocks...good practice if anything!!

So not the best of days, but ended ok.

And the kiwifruit...

Ended up looking like this....but tasty!!!

Green crisps!!

Can you warm the old lino with a hair drier? Have you ever tried the vinyl blocks? Nice dried kiwifruit - you kept the colour well.

My friend Gretel also does lino printing. I am captivated by the process.
How did you do those kiwis?? That is fascinating.

I’ve wondered about how linoleum ages—you confirm my suspicion: not well

I use a dehydrator which blows warm air up through perforated shelves

New lino you can warm...I'll try warming one of the older blocks. I've tried the Japanese vinyl and didn't get on with it well.
I think that the fruit retained its colour because it didn't get too hot?

I love the prints -- and yes, a much cleaner version with the new one. That's a fact I didn't know1

Your new carved blocks look lovely. I like the 4-D.
Dried kiwi makes a great snack.
