A day to relax after all that walking...tidy my room, then this afternoon watch the thunder and rain !!!
This morning, early, the birdsong started...and so did the frogs!! That has been the background sound all day!!
In between showers I got out for a short walk and even at 5.30 pm it was quickly hot enough for the cicadas to start up their cri cri. A cat found me on my walk and was certain that I would be her spare hooman!! It was interesting seeing the houses and bungalows....fairly modern, 20 to 30 years old? But looking so much like Aotearoa NZ...
Drawing is not going so well...not enough practice.

I think your drawings are wonderful. I love the sound of frog song. During our summers I sit outside and listen to them all serenade me.
When we bought our home, 37 years ago. It had been a strawberry farm.
The land felt “ dead”. To over cultivated and too full of poisonous sprays
We set about clearing and cleaning it. It took yeqrs but finally the frogs and insects came back.
The only things I spray are my roses, and whatever else the aphids attack. I only use a homemade concoction made of water, oil and a dash of dishwashing detergent.

But even more than a good photo,
I love a hand drawn rendition of a place—
the hand shows the person like a shadow shows the cat.
The sound of the rain is good music.

And you don’t sketch people (or don’t share those sketches)
