Spring begins

We have just had a couple of springlike days, pleasant sun but chilly winds, and have arrived at the Equinox with...chill fog! It is gradually lifting, but isn't very inviting!!

Plenty of cuttings look as if they have survived..and so have foxgoves and red Lupins come through the winter in the polytunnel...just! Thanks Steve for the seeds...I will be sowing more lupin seeds, I didn't use them all..the pink ones didn't survive, so I'll try again.

I am feeling unenthusiastic about getting on with anything this morning...but needs must!!

I woke to a similar fog the other day. Yes, I wanted to just bury myself under my covers. Yet later on the fog finally burned off, and the day was most productive, though I don't remember what doing. Happy Ostara, Oestra...Equinox. Your new green house looks lovely...and congrats on keeping things alive through the winter there!

I am so anxious to get started on the garden. And this WILL be the year that I finally get that greenhouse! I swear this is the year!

What we all need in these lockdown days is a fortnight of really first class spring days - that'll get us all going.

I'm glad the red ones survived! Our red plant is already looking pretty big -- I think it's a vigorous hybrid. Maybe the pink ones are less so?

There have been one or two really nice days here recently. Good for morale.

Whenever I see someone growing things from seed I fancy having a go. I must say though that I know I don't have the patience!

Steve I think the pink ones were just in the wrong place at the wrong time...but I will try again with both

I thought today would be nice warm weather for some bizarre reason, nearly froze to death! I can never grow lupins, which I am very disapointed about because I have a great attachment to them. I hope you are more successful than me!
