Captcha...or rather not.. and life

Blogger is having a little whoopsie again...so I can't publish any comments. It does that occasionally.

I can still read you all.

Pirate is not feeling good.  District Nurse is calling by this morning anyway, so hopefully she will be able to point him in the right direction.

Meanwhile I did a housework catch-up this morning... yesterday's washing up, steam cleaned the kitchen and bathroom floors, pushed the carpet sweeper over the living room floor and did most of the ironing, all before breakfast.

I hate coming down to an untidy grubby kitchen.  I like a fresh start to the day, but sometimes that doesn't work out.

Still windy and raining here , which doesn't help the mood of the day...and it's the Equinox this weekend.

Hope the nurse can sort out Pirate's unwellness and that he feels better soon.
Our wind and rain has only just eased but everywhere is still dripping wet so I don't fancy doing anything outside just yet.

Oh I wish I lived near you, so you could teach me (maybe too late) how to clean a kitchen before going to bed! Mine always has whatever happened at dinnertime still there in the morning. I am getting better at rinsing off everything, so they are easier to wash in the mornings. Hope your pirate is feeling better.

Sorry about Pirate. Hope things look up soon. Blogger can be quite temperamental sometimes. And I agree about a clean kitchen -- I always clean the counters and run the dishwasher before I go to bed.

I am having to deal with similar health issues to Pirate myself. It's up and down isn't it. I've had all kinds of electrolyte and hormone deficits and I find that getting the right tests and supplements makes a big difference to tiredness and energy levels. Hope he feels better soon. Hang on in there!

And commenting is back on!

Did my comment go into spam or has it disappeared?

Both arrived at the same time, Tasker!

Hope the District Nurse can sort Pirate out and he is feeling better. Well done on the housework.

I too have recently removed the verification from comments as my sister advised that it was too difficult these days to get through. I hope that your pirate recovers well. I do like the satisfaction of a clean kitchen but it's far more fun making the mess!

Sorry about Pirate's disposition and I hope he improves soon. I had prostate cancer back in 1997 and had the full prostatectomy then (I gather they don't do this so much these days). That left me impotent but no other side effects. Since I was then 58 and we had had all our children long before this, it was no great shakes - especially as it has given me another 25 full years of life.

You seem to be an exceedingly busy lady. My wife died 18 month's ago and I gave her all my care for 3 years before that. So now my old army training has kicked in and I try to keep a fairly clean house and, like you, my kitchen is always smart before I go to bed. I could not face yesterday's mess when I come down in the morning! (My old platoon sergeant would have approved!)

Although I don't comment often I read all your posts and am following your lives through them. Tell Pirate I often think about his travails and admire the way he has been coping with them. Us fellow cyclists must stick together!
