Maybole Shore

 A walk on the beach.

We met our Dundee friends for lunch at the Coo Shed on their way home from a Galloway holiday....then Reflexology for Pirate in Alloway just over the A77...and Maybole Shore for a walk on the beach. Unfortunately the haar was in, so we couldn't see Arran.

Pirate remembered paddling at Opononi after Stage 3 of the Tour of the Northland in Aotearoa NZ...so had a go here... the water isn't as clean, unfortunately, but it had the desired effect.

Then home to relax.

The plan is for a ride somewhere flat tomorrow, but we have to avoid Ayr because of the weekend Air Show.  The weather is forecast to turn on Sunday, so the end of the nice hot weather...summer mark 2!!  We did have rain last night, short and sharp, so the car has Sahara dust all over.

I need to list a lot more on fleabay this weekend as there is an 80% lower selling fees (if you sell in the first time period before the listing renews)

An air show in Ayr, a glass show in Glasgow, a cow show in Cowdenbeath and a bear show in Bearsden. Such fun.

That looks beautiful, even with the haar.

Is Maybole near Lanarkshire? I have found several threads of family came from that neck of the woods, but not yet done much investigating of what that really means.

A lovely walk along the ocean. And, every success in this current listing.

Good luck with fleabay. (I can no longer refer to it by it's proper name.) Of course, I also now refer to Damnazon.

It seems a while since I've walked along the beach or enjoyed a paddle. Your photos remind me of what I am missing.

Nice one YP...which is why we are going to Irvine for a quiet bike ride!!
Debby I like that one!
Jeanie , Maybole is on the West Coast, down the A77 from Ayr, in South Ayrshire..50 miles further down the A77 you get to Stranraer . Nowhere near Lanarkshire.. although the River Clyde flows through both

Nothing like a good walk on the beach. It's vary foggy. On the other hand there's nothing like a good walk on the open prairie or for that matter in the arctic. Places where you see no one else.
