The car went to the mechanic first thing today for a mechanical service (ie not the filters etc) and to be plugged into the diagnostics machine.
The home to put in some small leek plants where the first lot of tatties were lifted.
By then it had started getting seriously warm... And stayed warm until after 7pm...I think we had 26 C today and very little breeze.
So..indoor jobs... I have taken the annoying flounce off the sheet that goes on the sofa bed... Gradually working around the hem, pinning it up. I need to dig out some elastic for the corners.
Much online chatting.... And Duolingo....
The car was ready at 4.30, but I stopped for a blether as well as a report on the "patient". What we had expected to show.... There was no trace!! It did show a radio fault... It occasionally turns the volume up by itself!! Plus a couple of other small intermittent things triggered by occasional low voltage... Something for the Oily One to ponder over!!
Supper was a little late as I was defrosting the under the bench freezer... And it was still warm out there!
Now it is 9.25...another red sunset.... Time to water small pants then another lesson....
Pirate's FedEx office chair.... Went to another young FedEx ex employee (who happens to be 51 today!) Their cat has decided that it is a Cat Throne....

I hope OO can resolve the car problem.
While you are getting hot weather, we have smoky air from the fires in Canada. It was nearly clear and then by 3 PM the wind shifted, the sky darkened and the air was smoky again.
Nobody wants to be outside in high heat or smoky air.
Oh turning up all on its own. Nope. I think an exorcism is definitely required or maybe a little sage smoke.

It's cooling down a bit now, thank heavens. This has just been a couple of weeks of summer as I remember it. I didn't suffer like I did when the humidity was a lot higher in the other heatwaves. Well done for planning ahead with your garden.
The ways of cars will forever be a mystery to me. I think car designers and manufacturers should apply the KISS principle.

If you're getting occasional issues from low voltage, has the alternator been checked out? How old is the battery, after 5-6 years they can trigger some weird faults from my own bitter experience........
Love the ex-Fed-Ex employees passing on the chair, only to have the cat showing her stuff! Keep cool. Us too!
battery is good, mechanic checked that. The alternator should be ok, and the power dips are very brief. possibly just aged wiring!! After all the car is just over 21!!
tempting!! on the other hand, at least the car has spirit !!
