yet more rain

The stream by the allotments is running full after yet more rain, and all sorts of rubbish is being washed down.
Unfortunately some people think that the stream will take care of anything they don't want.    Tree branches, prunings, planks, compost bags, carrier bags, plastic bottles of all sizes....

After  doing a temporary mend on the greenhouse, in case the wind gets up again and destroys it, The Carpenter cleared what he could of the blockage.   There is so much water going down that the level only fell about nine inches!!

I've got the bean poles up...show willing!!  It looks much better already!

WOW! And we have been without water for weeks here. Finally quenched the parched soil today!

Nothing nicer than a babbling brook without its bedsteads, fridges, and old prams. Why is it that people will go to great lengths to chuck rubbish in a stream or ditch, but can't be bothered to go to the local dump.

We sometimes have trouble with folk dumping. I like to think that the plastic blows in by accident, but when a fridge freezer turned up I think that was on purpose!

The human race is a messy one.
