Quietly onwards

Counting the days until we hear when...Pirate will phone his specialist nurse tomorrow ..I hope she will have news then, but it does him good to talk to her.

I know they have case meetings on Wednesdays..but as they decided last Wednesday what the plan was, I hope he will know when soon.

So we are keeping quiet, keeping busy. No ride today as it was still raining after a wet and blustery night.

A day of phone calls for him, tidying and keeping up with housework for me while it showered...then relief...A little sunshine and a break in the showers. Enough to start on the last step of the compost bins, the slats at the front and to see what we will use.

I have eight small pallets from roof tiles and they are only a little too long for what is needed..ideal as any tatty bits can be trimmed off!  Deconstructing pallets started and so did the rain. At least we know where we go next with that.

Time for a cuppa, then sort the greenhouse. A few things haven't germinated well, and some have been eaten. A couple of snails got ejected from the greenhouse and as I sowed more I spread organic slug pellets!!

It is a relief to see most things that I have sown actually growing.

And still this evening it rains, plus some passing thunder as we had supper.

And of course as I pressed Record, the blackbird stopped singing!

I know exactly that need to keep oneself occupied. We are doing much the same here.

My best thoughts to you.

It's nice, anyway, to hear the rain falling.

Waiting is very hard and keeping occupied is the best thing to do.
