Afternoon fruits and flowers

A walk after lunch, 4 or 5km....on the road this time as there are some boggy patches on my off road walks!

A sunny start!
Haws and hips

Sloe, sloe.....
It itches just there....

Practising....called "circuits and bumps"....round and round, with several pilots training or doing refreshers to keep their qualifications

A place to rest...

New house on the way
And an old one gone....a good house, farm, yard and mill...

Ragwort and knapweed

Lost.....he shouldn't have come over the bridge by the demolished house

The last hill...

The last rose?

Midgies

So much loveliness all around. Except that last photo!

Nice that you can step out of the house and be in the country.

Lots of pretty flowers and interesting things to see.
We have midgies here too and they really are a menace. Their bites itch for days

These aren't bitey midgies...must be a different sort...and only female ones go for blood

I love that photo of the fieldstone wall topped by the wooden picket fence!

What a lovely walk, so much to see. I enjoy rambling, but not serious hiking. You just miss too much.
