Another day....

I looked at parking this morning, for tomorrow's journey to Glasgow...I'll do the first ten miles by car as connecting buses to our village are far and few between after six pm.

Possibilities...if I'm lucky I will get in the freezer car park by Prestwick station... otherwise it will have to be the road parallel to the main street. Everywhere else is one hour parking unless you go down by the prom. Not a walk I want to do.if it's getting late.

I had lunch out!! Just a baked potato with cheese and salad...in the café in a council run gallery.

There was a retrospective exhibition and a photographic society exhibition. Both quite interesting.

Then home to sort more fleabay stuff.

And a message from Pirates eldest daughter that her mother in law died this morning..and if course she misunderstood my response! Some people seem intent on taking offense even if none was given!!

Never mind, I will talk to him tomorrow when I see them in Glasgow.

I keep on thinking that the roses have finally finished....then Munstead Wood puts out more blooms!

Bred by David Austin snr, named for Gertrude Jekyll's home.

A beautiful rose with a heavenly perfume.

Oh what a beautiful rose. It's hard to tiptoe around sensibilities, especially when there is heightened emotions. I hope that you have a lovely visit.

I understand the 'looking for offense'. And there is no way to sort it out once the offense is taken.

Stay safe in your travels, Gwyneth.

Especially when dealing with someone who always wants the last word! Let's hope her father's last words to her will stay in her mind...to be kind to others

Have you made cuttings of that rose? It sounds amazing.

I do miss roses that have lovely scents. These are also beautiful, as all roses are!

When there's a question about communication and intent, I do wish people would default to giving the benefit of the doubt rather than assuming the worst!

People who are upset will sometimes misunderstand a message. It is true though that some people will look for it. The roses are a beautiful deep red. Love them

Safe travels. I hope you have an enjoyable visit.
The scented rose is very beautiful.

Yes...she has always been quick to respond and assume the worst, even with Pirate. It upset him a lot

As my granny once said "Some people always get hold of the wrong end of the pineapple".

Love it!! Just fits the bill for that .

Looking for offense...yes, I know about that. Married to one who does that, though he is much better now than he was 38 years ago. It is so difficult to deal with. Your day sounds busy, can't wait to hear about it.

I have one David Austin rose which I have coddled and tried to protect but it is hard with these young pups! I can't recall its name right off but it is a strongly scented yellow shrub rose. I just love it. Cost me $60, but I hope it will be worth it in years to come.

I love that, John!

The wrong end of the pineapple! Love this! I’d never heard it before

How lovely to have a rose with a heady perfume! These days so many roses have no scent because of cross-breeding for other features instead.
