Getting ready

Monday I just mooched around and recovered from the weekend!!

I've got my room sorted of tidy and bags packed for the bus trip to Hamilton tomorrow....might take more things out of the bags tomorrow.....

I had lunch in the Mud Ducks then a wander around town this afternoon....look at that array of solar panels...power to a gym complex!!
Then watching friends on the velodrome practising...

Doing a couple of Kierins.... Japanese style racing...for 3 laps behind the pacer as it gradually increases speed...then it pulls off with 3 laps to go!!

Quiz night again tonight , and we were second for the third week running!! Unfortunately joint second, and we sent the wrong person up to answer the tiebreak...
How many feature films did Alfred Hitchcock direct,????

Our bod said 5....the other said 9....which was the nearest...to 53!!

I'd have also missed that trivia question! It sounds like you're about to be traveling again. I look forward to seeing where you go each day!

Gosh, I've missed out on so much with the Fair and being so exhausted. I expect if it was that hot, you were glad not to be racing yourself. It sounds like you have had an amazing holiday, and nice to have some sunshine and escape the worst of the winter weather back in the UK. It looks a really lovely and interesting area where you have been staying.

Do the solar panels work well? What happens in winter when you need heating the most?

Solar panels need daylight, so not necessarily bright sunlight.
You store the power in house batteries to use at night

Five?! Lol, I guess your tie-breaker had never heard of Hitchcock?

Are you racing in the trials?
Quiz night sounds like good fun. Only an Alfred Hitchcock fan would know the number of films made.
Enjoy your bus trip.

So sad that solar energy doesn't work within the borders of the USA. (If you listen to the Republican arguments...)

It seems like you are finding a great deal of joy in life again. It is nice to watch it happening for you.

Not his sort of film!

No, I haven't raced for a few years

Wow! I would never have guessed THAT many. I might have put it at 20.
