Mixed that up a bit!!
I did the printing on Saturday morning....
Then I joined in on the Raku firing.
This was Naked Raku...no, not the potter...the pot...
You start with a bisque fired pot that has white terra sigillata...a very fine grained and burnished white clay slip fired on it...
First you create a resist with tape...then dip it in a bucket of white slip ( liquid clay). After it has dried it gets dipped in a bucket of glaze and left to dry again before the tape is removed and the foot of the pot sponged clean .
Then the firing... brought up to 850-900⁰ C until the glaze has melted then removed from the kiln hot, with tongs, and placed in a drum of combustible material...we used sawdust...covered with sawdust and left in for ten minutes before taking out and quenching.
Where the tape was, is black and ...the slip should peel off...hence, naked Raku....
This last one is mine.
All throughout the weekend there was a sales tent, with work for sale from demonstrators and members, books and materials.
I weakened and bought a mug....my bag contents will have to be reviewed...
Saturday evening was barbecue night and vegans, veggies and gluten free eaters were well catered for as at every lunchtime.

Looks like an amazing day. Hope your suitcase isn't TOO heavy for the journey home!
Your raku piece is beautiful! And I love those little valentine hearts.
I would love to fire pottery like that! Yours is beautiful, and I like the sci-fi-like creatures too
I will be discarding quite a bit....
What a great experience! And the very first thing that popped in my head was a vision of you marching through the airport with your bags and a pot balanced on you head!
