bank holiday weather

Rain, of course!!

I've done a little more sorting and tidying in the workshop.

What would you do with all your old small glaze tests? (I mean the sitting in a small yoghurt pot variety of glaze test!)

Went shopping for essentials with The Carpenter, now the order of the day is Keep Warm and Dry!!

Before we moved I sold a WHOLE bunch of old glaze tests for a couple of bucks each! They were small cups so they were perfect for toothpicks, etc. Sometimes we have made glaze tests that were tiny saucers - those can be sold as tea bag holders.

Old small glaze tests. Are they similar to pieces of tiling? I've had 2 thoughts on that...1) imbed them in your next potting venture or 2) place in the bottom of pots for drainage purposes.
Your pots are gorgeous. There is a local annual event called " Empyt Bowls" a fundraiser in Montreal. It's a great way to meet local potters and make a contribution to the community.

All good suggestions---I meant the unfired in a small tub variety of glaze test!

And I sat by the woodburner throughout most of the Bank Holiday. Predictable, isn't it?
