Earthmoving

Having run out of steam over the weekend...I managed some gardening this afternoon.

Loosened the compacted earth where paths have been and in the original beds in the old polytunnel.

Put a board in to keep the earth back from the extended bit of the polytunnel.

Less than an hour...with breaks to message chat a cycling friend and my youngest son.

The brick path in the polytunnel needs to be a constant level.

Next step is make two more bed surrounds.

I don't think that the pallet surrounds you can get come in the right dimensions, but I will check.

Then a door frame, and added strengthening to the uprights, followed by the cover.

But I've done enough for today.

Knowing when you've done enough is one of the key ways to get things done. It's too easy to do too much.

With a garden, there is always something to do. The garden rewards us with a good harvest which is very gratifying.

Gwenn, I tried looking on your older blogs, and couldn't find the link anymore for Macmillan Nurses giving site. Please send it so I can add it to my next Sepia Saturday post...as they are a different set of bloggers who might have ready about your Pirate.

You have done a lot of work for today.
Gardening is tiring and requires strength! But it pays off! Rest and have a beautiful week!

You've got a lot done, and yes, like all gardening - there is always more to do, but there is also tomorrow x
