I don't really find this 'shocking', nor does it really worry me. The uber-uber rich all need to be serviced. Someone has to build their tasteless mansions, someone has to gold-plate their top of the range Rolls, and someone has to make their expensive hand-made pots. Without a certain percentage of exceptionally rich people around, an awful lot of highly talented craftsmen/women would be out of a job. Mr Roadsweeper certainly isn't going to keep a goldsmith in work.
