roamin' in the gloamin' !!
A good walk to get up from the traffic noise, taking an old road up from the canal bridge, although not much of the surface is left. Coming home along the fire road following a route we'd done before. Just by myself this time. I'm not sure if that was a planet or a space station I saw to finish with, looking Westwards.
Back home to battle with technology..I think the phone I use as a camera is playing up and it is getting difficult to transfer images. Meanwhile, The Carpenter made supper. It is good to share work!

Nice pix. I think I recognise some bits, the road up through the valley in the streetlights looks familiar!
It's Jupiter. Have been noticing it for the past week or so as I arrive home. Last night we had a proper look at it through the binoculars. Up until yesterday, I never realised that plants had phases too - it's at third quarter. Have to look in a day took to see if it's waxing or waning. I also caught a fleeting glimpse of one of the moons.
You may be interested to know that Howard's junior lookalike, Prof. Brian Cox, is doing a Stargazing Live programme on Beeb 2 Monday to Wednesday. Be interesting to see how many other people have been noticing Jupiter.
It is looking down on Crosskeys and towards Wattsville.
I've had my rounds with technology recently too, so I can empathize. I have a camera that has been working with my computer, but suddenly yesterday, my computer couldn't find the images that I knew were there. Dealing with modern technology can be maddening and infuriating.
The stone bridge is just beautiful! It looks very old.
I'm not sure of the exact date of the bridge, but that sction of the canal (Abercarn to link with the main Monmouth and Brecon Canal near Newport) was opened in 1796, two years later than the northernmost section (Abercarn to Crumlin )

I surely do enjoy your walks!
My computer is slowly dying but no funds for another. Wondering how many band aids I need to keep it going.... Grrrrrrr....... Technology!
Looks peaceful and quiet. A nice roam.
So beautiful...
