Spiky gorse
Apples galore.. it's as if the June Drop didn't happen...so they are numerous and small .. even the usually small apples are smaller!!
Living gateposts
Lichen
An old trackway
And even more apples! I wasn't fast enough to catch a photo of a deer eating the apples on the lowest branches
By the time I picked a carrier bagful from this last tree..one of my favourites....and two others on the way home...it was a weight training walk back home!!
A good hour and a quarter all told, good exercise which set me up to appreciate lunch( I got soup out of the freezer before I left) and an afternoon's paper sorting... mostly mine this time!
The living room is gradually getting livable, the number of boxes of papers reducing!!
And my early night has disappeared....I have sold a book on fleabay!! My Penguin paperback copy of "The Ballad of Sad café"....got all the paperwork done, did today's washing up ....
And I had a phone call from a cousin in London....and we can talk...!! A lot to catch up on....

Apples were quite small here this year as well. I attribute it to the drought.
You sure had a lovely walk. I enjoyed the photos.
For this little old prairie boy apple trees all over the place is amazing. No apples here
How lovely that you can walk in such a beautiful place.
What are you planing on doing with the apples? Free food is always a bonus
Another day well spent.
It is definitely a bonus. Not many of these are keepers, so pressing and bottling juice, jelly making, freezing cooked or uncooked.
Free food with added exercise!!
Autumn bonuses!
Living gateposts. I love that description.
