The best.... a coffee tuk!!
My club mate on the right...it was her birthday..she could have done without the Bumps...the woman in front of her slowed down a little and their wheels overlapped a little...which wouldn't have been so bad but the woman then went to move up.the track as she rode...thereby taking out club mate's front wheel.
Bike was ok, body damage wasn't too bad and you can have up to five laps out during a scratch race..they paused the race and the others rode around steadily then she was back in...and won bronze in her age group!
So two bronze medals for the club this morning
(And she medalled in the afternoon's race as well)
A good full day of seeing friends, helping friends and watching racing.
Then going over the other side of the road past the Velodrome to catch up with a friend..my coach's son... hadn't seen him since 41 years!!
A good smooth journey back, just 1 hour 40 minutes for 72½ miles...2 hours to get there this morning..I went over the old Severn Bridge to avoid the roadworks jams and Saturday traffic on the newer bridge this morning and coming up to Bristol there was heavy rain...even the lorries had slowed to 30mph...
Last night with jams caused by a broken down vehicle meant it took 2½ hours to get back...longer than I like to drive in one, but at least I arrived in daylight.
No driving tomorrow..a day out with friends...and they are driving!!

It must be a world wide pandemic. Road works! We have them all around our place. You cannot avoid them. Well done to your friend winning bronze
...and around and around they go!
So enjoy seeing your posts about riding, traveling, visiting old friends. And your garden look wonderful.
I love watching velodrome races. this is exciting about your friends! Looks like a great time!
