New shapes on the way....I kept the one on the left
and here it is at the front. Still the one I like best so far. I quite like its size now so I need to throw it bigger to allow for shrinkage. Although smaller mugs and beakers sell well for smaller hands.
It mustn't be so small that it is a job to clean.
This time I have started designing on paper first, because of the cold weather. I'm not sure if that is a good idea as the throwing hasn't flowed so well as usual. Not that a month of being frozen out of the workshop has anything to do with it!!
The bag of clay and pot of slip for throwing are now sitting in the kitchen. I should be able to feel my fingers for longer tomorrow!

I remember keeping warm water beside me in winter. Would one of those cheap mug warmers help? To keep warm water warm for throwing, or at least dipping your hand in occasionally?
Lovely shape.
lovely forms, my dear...a more graceful variation of an old Winchcombe beaker...and I always like racing stripes running around the middle of pots.
@DF, Thankyou
@Z, I've found that warm water dries my skin when used for throwing.
Keeping the throwing slip and the clay in the kitchen should do it!
making pots in winter = VERY challenging, your hands get so cold and cracked!
spent the last month thowing out of a crockpot set on low.; nice to warm the joints,
thinking it might also be nice to start sitting on a heating pad too LOL!
seems as though I am much more productive in warm weather ...... and a bit of sunshine helps too!
