steady progress

Kiln unpacked and all the bowls' feet are waxed now. Gas ordered too.

Not much else done, as a friend came to visit. We enjoyed a simple lunch with lots of nattering and I used a bowl to barter for something I needed!

Then The Carpenter needed a hand sorting stuff...now we have a smaller coffee table that doesn't hem you in on the sofa, and I can get at the front windowsill to change the pot display!!

All the washing got dried and sorted as well- I hate having that hanging around! It was pleasant all day apart from some light showers late afternoon.

I miss those kinds of lunches...
Bartering is good, people in Brittany do a great deal of bartering, it gets them round the demanding French tax laws, provides people with what they need and is good for forming community relationships...

I am a great fan of bartering, especially in these credit-crunch times but alas, I have no skills to offer, other than enthusiasm and hard work...

Unless anyone needs a computer virus analysed :-)

Just been to your Etsy shop...
I think a nice cream-coloured pot for garlic would be a good addition to our range? Rather like the salt pot in shape? Maybe with some green lines in it?
What do you think?

and night light holders?

I have candle lamps...time to post one on Etsy!

Bartering's definitely a useful tool, especially these days! I want to buy a mug, for me morning hot chocolate! I clicked on 'pots' at the top right of the page. I like the look of the green/blue one, third from top, with nice handle. I've tried copying the url, so here goes: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LIEoT-HLwD0/TVWbLIW9yJI/AAAAAAAABkY/iXT9YrinTik/s320/DSC_0505.JPG

How much is it and can you manage getting it out to me in Spain? Please let me know when you have a chance, so I can make the arrangements. Thanks.

Hi again, forgot to ask if you had any of these mugs/pots available. Just didn't think! Sorry. Since I had my TIA some months back, I can be a bit forgetful/muddled!

yeractual, this only holds a quarter pint...is that big enough? I do have one here. I haven't made bigger ones with these handles...sending email!

Sounds like a satisfying day to me - things achieved! I hate days when you feel you've achieved nothing except the basic chores and have nothing to show for it.
Weather grey again here today as of previous weeks, so unless it all changes soon I dont think I'll be bringing any sunshine to Wales.
