Saturday was bike ride day...after buying a set of shelving on the way to parking my car on the Prom..
Only a fifteen mile round trip, but not very fast. Some diversion included as there was road surfacing going on on a back road...not all NCR7 is on a separate path, some is on back roads and streets.
Good to meet the group for coffee after their ride anyway. That was as the Tattie Shack...a farm shop that had now added quite a posh cafe.
The bike route was being tidied up, much strimming and cutting back... not usual maintenance, the Golf Open is in Troon in a couple of weeks time...there has been much road surfacing, hole filling and tree pruning for a month or so!!
This morning I built the shelving...I did need a separate space to build them instead of the darkest corner of the workshop where they will go... especially as they are painted black!! Then filled it, mopped the floor and put the stove vaguely where it will be!
So that was good use of a wet morning..and this afternoon it was sunny and dried a line full of washing nicely.
As it had dried I picked what fruit the birds had left...
No redcurrants....
And at 10 minutes past 10..
Hopefully that means a fine dry morning tomorrow....

That shelf will be a workhorse for you. I have the exact same one, several of them in fact. They're very strong. You have made good headway.
Those berries, are they gooseberries? They look so good.
It does look like enough fruit to be getting on with. Lovely sunset.
There's always something to do. A good 15 mile bike ride tops things off.
And I'm wishing for a few solid days of slow steady gentle rain to save my tree in my front yard!

Most people around here seem to have had a pleasant weekend. I thought the lower bowl of fruit were olives for a moment.
A nice tidy shed is quite a pleasure.
I expect you slept well after all that activity.
I rode past Ayr and Troon on my recent LEJOG - and very nice (and quite posh I thought) it was too!

Rick is so frustrated -- he has been waiting for a part (back bracket, I think) -- a Campanolo part that they don't make anymore (or if they do, it's hard to find it.) Finally found it in Montreal and it's taking forever to ship across the border. It's messed up his long cycle trip and now just riding shorter, non-agressive things till it's fixed. I hope it comes soon -- he's not a happy camper when biking is limited!
A 15 mile bike trip is impressive and very good for your health and wellness. The new shelf looks perfect in that space. Your workshop is coming along nicely.
