I paid for the celebrations today.. fortunately my brother has lent me money to just about cover it. Still there is a.bit of juggling to be done. At least I should be reimbursed...from the savings that I got Pirate making once all his debts were cleared.... meanwhile, I am using my savings...
It's one little step at a time ..I still haven't had any news on Pirate's pension..I should have been receiving that for three months!!

I hope you can get all your finances sorted. I am sure "the powers that be" make it more complicated than necessary.

Ugh. The government moves exceedingly slow...unless you owe them money.
There's an incredible amount of business to be done to clear up an estate.

My state pension is ok...but I should be getting half Pirate's work pension, he nominated me for this years ago.

Experience from sorting dad's 'estate' is that any place expected to be paying out will drag it out a.l.a.p. I hope yours doesn't take the more than two years that did... YAM xx
Yamini the estate shouldn't be the problem..the insurance is in, I think all the bills are in and our solicitor has that in hand..he has just gone on a much needed and deserved family holiday! Seeing as his eldest is heading for uni now, that will probably be the last they have with all the children together.
Amazing how slow incoming money moves. A phone call to inquire, what they are waiting for might move things along or at least put your name front and center.
That's always a tough time financially -- hoping the pension comes in soon!
