I have just had this comment...

Pity you have not got something better to do than talk a load of bull. There have not been any horses moved off the mountain. So that’s how clever and observant you are, you are quite good about talking about other people pity you don’t have a good look at yourself. As for being Colin’s woman I think it’s time you wake up you were nothing but a hanger on.
I am quite shower you won’t put this on you site like the rest of your rubbish."

I have been honest in saying that I hadn't walked *all* the mountain...and circumstances prevented me doing so for the past week. It is a pity that people thought that I had no interest, not that I have been sick and grieving. It is a pity that people did not think to mention to me anything about the ponies instead of thinking that I would just drop them after three years of caring.

I was Col's woman-why else did he tell me so, why else did we do so much together, and for each other? It is a pity he kept each part of his life separate, but as you've said, that was his way.
You cannot know what he said to me and how he showed he cared, and that is private between us.
If I was just a hanger on, he would have said so, and plainly, as he did to others. We would not have discussed and planned and done so many things togetherand helped each other too.

I have the memories of three years together, talking nearly every day and being together most days too, especially the past two years. These are most precious.

I am sure of us. I trust what Col said to me. I have to move on and develop as do we all.

Dear GZ,
Try not to react to this sort of STUFF. You are brave to put it on your blog, and it exposes people who are mean enough to want to hurt.
But don't let it damage your own integrity, or cast doubts on your relationship.
Just feel suitably sorry for people who need to behave like this.

I don't know the situation, but when faced with such cruelty from others my mind always goes back to the song Easy To Be Hard by Three Dog Night, especially the first three lines:

How can people be so heartless
How can people be so cruel
Easy to be hard, easy to be cold

How can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
Easy to be proud, easy to say no

Especially people who care about strangers
Who care about evil and social injustice
Do you only care about bleeding crowd
How about a needing friend, I need a friend

How can people be so heartless
You know I'm hung up on you
Easy to be proud, easy to say no

Especially people who care about strangers
Who care about evil and social injustice
Do you only care about bleeding crowd
How about a needing friend, we all need a friend

How can people be so heartless
How can people be so cruel
Easy to be proud, easy to say no
Easy to be cold, easy to say no
Come, on, easy to give in, easy to say no
Easy to be cold, easy to say no
Much too easy to say no

Thanks Dru for giving me a smile.
Everyone grieves in their own way and sees only their side of the person lost.
Or as Col always said, I always see the best side of people and trust too much. Then it can hurt when you see otherwise.
I'm sad for those who don't or can't or wont understand, but he did warn me they wouldn't, so I wont let it hurt.

WOW! I love the song lyrics Linda posted, quite appropriate, and my new name calling word is going to be TROLL! I LOVE that!
I'm very sorry that you had to be the recipient of such a post. You have left kind and thoughtful comments on my blog and I do not feel you are the type of person that deserves such a mean spirited note. I will tell you that I recently received a very mean email that nearly caused me to stop blogging and stop making some of the things I make. But I don't want to let them win. However the words stay with me and they were very hurtful. WTF is wrong with this human race anyway!!!!! Just stay true to yourself!

I saw your post this morning and have been thinking about it all day. I don't understand how anyone can be so cruel. Trying to put doubts in your mind when Col is not able to reassure you is a despicable thing to do and this man must have 'issues'. It's clear though, that you don't need Col to respond to this 'Troll' because he already told you how much you meant to him. You shared moments that cannot be stolen from you by anyone. Hugs xx

He's a troll, and like every ignorant, cruel troll, can only be starved to death. Give him no more attention, he obviously doesn't know what he's talking about, but he knows how to rile people.

Ignore, delete, blank him. It's the only way. And in your own mind, as well. Because such people tell blatant falsehoods with such conviction that sane people begin to question themselves. Because sane people balance themselves with reality. Trolls do not, what is inside their own dark minds is their entirety.

Trolls just want a reaction.
Don't let them have the satisfaction.
